Of course, traveling, as much as we all love it and as much as I keep repeating “I can’t believe this is our life”, isn’t always just sunshine and roses.
So far we’ve had to see a mechanic for our car in every single country.
First, the check engine light kept coming on but in country number 3 it came out it was just an ignorable error message. Then it started making a kind of odd vibrating sound so we went back to the mechanic. Could they check on it and fix it we asked 2 weeks ago? Of course they could. We should just bring it back in a week and a half. Really? Is that gonna be enough time since we are on a world trip and need to leave by the 10th? Oui, Oui!
Did they? Of course not. The supplier didn’t bring the parts they needed, so now we need to bring the car back in after we come back from Paris. Joy.
On the other hand, it was hilarious watching two grown men figure this all out with google translate on their phones. Type, type, type – Shove cell phone in guys face – watch him type, type, type – have phone shoved in own face – repeat.
So yeah, gotta use the 2h we have back at this place to drop off the car after we come back from Paris.
