Saturday we took an amazing day trip. Kind of a long 3h drive through the most backroad countryside you can imagine – and not the good kind. Super narrow roads with the craziest curves I’ve ever seen, right next to a steep cliff. I was very, very scared to say the least.
But after three hours the drive was very much worth it. We spend an amazing day at Plitvička Jezera, a UNESCO National Park and it was absolutely stunning – including a 4km hike, a boat ride as well as a train ride. I’m just gonna let the pictures speak for themselves.
Sunday we spend the day being lazy at the beach, which was much needed after that crazy 3h drive back – and in the dark!
There were people at the beach this time, since a lot of people in Europe have a week of vacation, which kind of annoyed us. 🙂 I guess we were getting used to being alone 🙂 🙂 🙂
The boss, the general, and the brains of the operation. Anya is the mom of this crazy group of misfits. When not traveling the world and teaching her kids to be decent human-beings, she likes to bake, sing, be goofy. Aside from all that she does for Five of a Kind, she is also a short term foster mother for infants in need.
She also enjoys unreasonably spicy foods and is searching for a hot sauce that is spicy enough and yet still has some kind of flavor to it.
