After our first week of homeschooling, we just treated ourselves a fun weekend! Saturday we went shopping at a military post near us for some comfort US food before we leave and Sunday we went to a nice little market near us.
The market had amazing food. We had a mushroom pan, fries, grilled cheese, and filled up on various desserts. They also had a lot of crafts and handmade things from soaps and lotions over to clothes and arts. There was also a very impressive girl who burned your picture into wood. They had just about everything.
The kids were fascinated with all the animals they got to see, like a donkey show with baby donkeys, alpacas, horses, sheep, and deer. They even got to ride on a camel which they loved.
On the way back on Saturday, I found out there is a post close to where we will be in Italy, so that was a nice little surprise!
So yeah, we had fun and are ready for another round of this homeschooling thing!
The boss, the general, and the brains of the operation. Anya is the mom of this crazy group of misfits. When not traveling the world and teaching her kids to be decent human-beings, she likes to bake, sing, be goofy. Aside from all that she does for Five of a Kind, she is also a short term foster mother for infants in need.
She also enjoys unreasonably spicy foods and is searching for a hot sauce that is spicy enough and yet still has some kind of flavor to it.
