Wow, just realized this blog didn’t get updated since February 🙂 That is mainly due to the fact that we had about a million things going on. There was travel plans to be made, vacation homes to be booked, school stuff the be prepared,…. you get the idea.
But we made it and today we were able to have our first day of school. And what a success! The kids were – for the first time ever – actually excited about starting school and had a blast (as much as you can have a blast when you have to do school work). Everything worked without any major glitches. They kids still had a couple of questions – which is to be expected when you are switching from the public school system to homeschooling, but I am sure they will get the hang of it very quickly. And they actually had some fun today!
I would call this first day a huge success!
The boss, the general, and the brains of the operation. Anya is the mom of this crazy group of misfits. When not traveling the world and teaching her kids to be decent human-beings, she likes to bake, sing, be goofy. Aside from all that she does for Five of a Kind, she is also a short term foster mother for infants in need.
She also enjoys unreasonably spicy foods and is searching for a hot sauce that is spicy enough and yet still has some kind of flavor to it.
